Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. John and Sue Picardi launched their careers as wealth managers and financial planners in 2003. Today, John remains in the role of financial advisor, utilizing his background as a CPA to help integrate tax planning into his recommendations and solutions. Sue works in business development and runs the operations of the firm along with Clare Stefan. Together, John and Sue have multiple insurance and securities licenses, including investment advisor representative registrations, allowing John to customize even the most complex financial solutions for their clients. Prior to starting a career in wealth management, John spent a number of years as a corporate executive managing companies with divisions located in Australia, the UK, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. As a CFO and COO he was instrumental in several merger and acquisition projects. John has also gained valuable insight over the years by working with business owners, learning first-hand what it’s like to operate a small business of his own. He started his professional career associated with a CPA firm that focused on small to medium sized businesses, affording him the opportunity to advise business owners on both financial and tax matters.
After graduating from college with a BS in Accounting, Sue began her career as a public accountant, going on to become the Assistant Controller at Ralph Lauren Women’s Wear. During this time, high school sweethearts John and Sue married. They have been married for over 35 years and have two wonderful daughters and an amazing grandson.
The Picardi's are active in the community where Sue is on the Board of Directors for the Kennesaw Business Association and John serves as the Chairman of the Board for The Enrichment for Life Movement (ELM), a school of over 500 seniors that take classes on many subjects of interest to them. John also volunteers to teach a class at ELM on various financial topics specifically geared toward seniors. Sue served as an early morning facilitator of the Cobb Chamber Business Builder group for 7 years. The group focuses on studying various books on business and leadership. John was the past Treasurer (2 times) of the Marietta Business Association where they are currently members. John served on the Board of Directors for the Brookstone Men’s Golf Association where he served as Treasurer and President. In their leisure time John and Sue enjoy golf, reading, piano, the gym, travelling and spending time with their family and friends.
Ed and Clare joined Active Financial Group in March of 2015. Prior to joining AFG Ed worked with Lincoln Financial Advisors for more than 12 years as a financial planner. Clare joined Ed in his business in 2011 as a marketing, business development and client services specialist. Ed is focused on retirement planning for baby boomers and small business owners and his mission is to help enhance the lives of individuals and families as they plan for and approach retirement.
Ed is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner and has also earned the certification of a CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR®. Based on his clients' input, Ed works closely with his clients to ensure that they have a clear understanding of their strategic plan for retirement.

Ed is passionate about educating baby boomers and younger generations on the importance of planning for retirement. He speaks regularly to community groups and shares his knowledge of the challenges of planning for retirement. Some of his seminar topics include: understanding Social Security and strategies to maximize benefits; planning for increased health costs in retirement; the role of Medicare and long-term care; estate planning basics, and retirement income planning. He also speaks to women’s groups and shares strategies on how women can overcome some of the unique financial challenges they face.
The Stefans have been married for 28 years and are active members of the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce where Clare is a member of The Executive Round Table. She is a graduate of Leadership Sandy Springs Class of 2013 and is currently serving on the LSS Board of Directors, chairs the Development Committee and serves on the Communication Committee. They are both active in the Fairfield University and UConn Alumni Associations. Clare maintains her connection with the residential construction industry by serving on the Board of the National Remodeling Foundation and is also a member of ProWIN where she serves on the Member Acquisition Committee.
They enjoy spending their leisure time traveling, reading, playing golf, fitness training and swimming.
Conrad Levesque, CPA, is a licensed Financial Advisor, holding multiple insurance and securities licenses. In addition to his position as Financial Advisor with Active Financial Group (AFG), Conrad is also the President of Levesque & Associates, a tax and accounting firm located in Marietta, GA.
Conrad’s financial career began in high school when he worked in tax preparation. He quickly discovered a passion for accounting, finance, and client relationships. He attended Kennesaw State University, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He went on to earn an additional degree, a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, before receiving his CPA designation. In addition to tax and accounting, Conrad’s professional background includes real estate development, business consulting, and financial auditing for the State of Georgia.
Conrad drew on his many years of professional experience to expand his services to include consulting and financial planning, focusing primarily on individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. He believes in the value of a comprehensive financial plan, methodically evaluating each client’s life goals, risk tolerance, investment goals, retirement objectives, and estate needs. He leverages his extensive understanding of tax law and application to not only help clients reach goals but mitigate any tax impact. In his free time, Conrad enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and 7-year-old rescue dog, Mary Jane. He is the third of four siblings and is enjoying being an uncle. He is also an avid sportsman and attempts to play golf as much as possible. Conrad loves giving back and has proudly served on the board for Rock for a Reason, benefiting children’s cancer research, as well as participating in local charity events, fundraisers, and golf tournaments.
